Design Like You Give A Damn 2013  |  San Francisco, CA

Density + Modularity + Sustainability

The Design Like You Give A Damn conference in San Francisco, hosted by Habitat for Humanity,  was a great opportunity to present the current prospects of zero energy housing. I was able to exhibit the work from my research studio to explain how densification in cities and creates a more sustainable and livable environment. The research focused on prefabricated modules to create mixed-use housing structures. These modules could be manufactured to specification and then shipped to the site, stacked, and welded. This construction method reduces waste material while saving on time and labor costs on site.
